Career Services has entered its event era…and needs your help!

December 11 2025

Career Services is kicking off Spring 2026 like they drank three espressos and made a New Year’s resolution to personally help every CSN student get hired. They’ve planned an impressive lineup of workshops, fairs, info sessions, and networking opportunities that cover everything from resume reality checks to “please hire me” strategy.

Students can start small with Biscuits & Business — a quick, virtual chat with the Career Services Director that pairs professional guidance with the most important meal of the day. It’s happening so many Tuesdays this semester that students practically need a punch card.

Then there’s From Draft to Done, a virtual resume and cover letter workshop series designed to help students present themselves as qualified humans. Pair that with Activate & Optimize Handshake, because a blank profile featuring a blurry selfie isn’t exactly recruiter bait.

Next, students can get popcorn, confidence, and career fair survival skills at Mastering the Fair events on all three campuses. Then, they put those skills to use at not one but two major hiring fairs:

Charleston Campus Career Fair — 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Feb. 24
Henderson Career Fair — 11 a.m.–1 p.m. March 5,

For those on health pathways, the CTEAP Showcase on Jan. 10 will help students access vouchers and support needed for programs with extra costs. And since CTEAP deserves recurring reminders, multiple info sessions throughout the semester keep the momentum (and the financial assistance) going.

In other words: if a student says they’re not sure how to find a job or internship this spring, the response is simple: Career Services has a workshop for that. And another one. And several more after that.

Here’s how you can help
Share flyers. Forward links. Encourage participation. Gently pry students away from the vending machines and walk them into a lobby or Zoom session.

Career Services events help students build skills, confidence, networks and hopefully leave CSN with a job lined up. Future alumni everywhere will thank you.
