Women Talk brings stories, connection to Charleston campus
There was something special in the room at this year’s Women Talk.
Hosted by the Women’s Alliance, the evening brought students, faculty, staff and community members together at the Charleston campus for a simple but powerful idea. Sit down, listen, and share stories that matter.
This year’s theme, Women’s Stories That Shape Us, came to life through five speakers who each showed up with honesty and heart. They talked about the moments that changed them, the challenges they worked through, and what it means to find your voice, even when it’s not loud.
You could feel it in the room. People leaned in. Some nodded along. Some sat quietly, taking it all in. It wasn’t just about listening, it was about recognizing pieces of your own story in someone else’s.
After the talks wrapped, no one rushed out. People stayed, talked, connected, and kept the conversation going.
