Spring is in full swing at CSN, and April’s Conversations with the President brought a packed update to match.

Dr. Klippenstein kicked things off by congratulating 11 newly elected department chairs and praised the Faculty Senate for strong voter turnout. He also encouraged everyone to get out and cheer on students at the wave of end-of-year ceremonies happening across campus before commencement on May 18 at the Thomas and Mack Center.

A few highlights worth knowing about: The CSN Foundation Gala is back April 30 at the Charleston campus ballroom, the first in seven years, with about 200 guests expected for an evening of scholarship fundraising and student celebration. On the capital projects front, the proposed CSN Northwest Campus Town Hall is tonight and we look forward to engaging with the community on this exciting project in the works.

The session also included a tech update: the college’s new Enterprise Collaboration Platform is running about a month ahead of schedule, with broader campus testing expected around mid-May. Commencement updates from the Registrar’s office, and Marketing initiatives underway and coming down the pipeline.
