Faculty, Staff Invited to Hit the Field for Flag Football

A little friendly competition is coming to CSN this fall, and faculty and staff are invited to get in the game.

CSN will host a Faculty and Staff Flag Football Tournament on Friday, Oct. 23, at the Cheyenne Sports Complex at the North Las Vegas Campus. The team bracket event is designed to bring colleagues together outside the office and classroom for an evening of fun, camaraderie and maybe a little campus bragging rights.

Teams will consist of five to seven players, with quick, 15-minute games keeping the tournament moving from 6 to 8 p.m.

Whether you have a group ready to take the field or just want an excuse to round up your favorite coworkers, this is a chance to connect with colleagues in a different way. No meetings. No inboxes. Just teammates, football and some friendly competition.

The fun starts even before kickoff. CSN will also host a family-friendly Trunk or Treat in the North Las Vegas Campus Planetarium parking lot before the tournament. Faculty and staff can get involved there, too, by signing up to volunteer as a trunker or candy giver.

So start recruiting your team, come up with a good team name and get ready to see which group has what it takes to make it through the bracket.
