That’s the idea behind the 2026 Southern Nevada Diversity Summit, happening Friday, Nov. 13, at the College of Southern Nevada’s North Las Vegas Campus.

This year’s theme, “Cultivating Community,” is all about building stronger connections and creating more opportunities through education, employment and community partnerships.

And this isn’t your typical sit-and-listen conference.

The day kicks off with an energetic performance by Las Vegas Kaminari Taiko, followed by keynote speaker Punam Mathur, a longtime community leader and advocate.

CSN President Dr. Stacy Klippenstein will also moderate a community leadership panel featuring Athar Haseebullah, executive director of the ACLU of Nevada; Las Vegas City Councilwoman Dr. Nancy Brune; and Shaundell Newsome, founder of Sumnu Marketing.

Throughout the day, breakout sessions will give attendees opportunities to explore new ideas, hear different perspectives and connect with people they might not otherwise meet.

And here’s where things get interesting. The summit wraps up with “The Exchange: Conversations That Move Us Forward,” an interactive experience where attendees become part of the conversation, sharing ideas and discussing how to turn what they’ve learned into action.

Whether you’re a student, faculty or staff member, business professional or simply someone who cares about the future of Southern Nevada, there’s a seat at the table for you.
