Career Fairs Draw Hundreds of Students
Back-to-back events at the Charleston and Henderson campuses brought together over 100 employers and nearly 400 students, with post-event surveys putting satisfaction at 98–99%.
This spring’s dual-campus career fair series delivered one of the strongest showings in recent memory. Across both events, a combined 114 employers showed up ready to connect and the students who came were clearly engaged, with hundreds turning RSVPs into real conversations and real opportunities.
At Charleston, 236 of the 300 registered students — nearly 79% — walked through the doors. Henderson saw 145 of 208 registrants attend in person, a 70% conversion rate. In both cases, the rooms were full of purposeful energy: résumés in hand, questions at the ready.

“The vast majority of participating students found these events valuable for their career development.”
The numbers that tell the deepest story, though, are the ones that came back in the surveys. Career Services collected post-event feedback from attendees at both campuses — and the responses were striking in their consistency.
At Charleston, 98% of respondents rated the event as satisfactory and helpful to their career development. Henderson edged even higher, with 99% of student survey responses indicating the same. These figures reflect not just a well-attended event, but one that genuinely delivered value to the students who showed up.

For CSN students many of whom are working adults, first-generation college students, or career-changers, access to structured employer connections is a critical part of the educational experience. Career fairs serve as a direct bridge between academic preparation and workforce entry, offering students the opportunity to engage with hiring managers, explore career pathways, and build professional networks in a single setting.
The participation of 114 employers across both campuses reflects sustained regional employer confidence in CSN graduates and reinforces the college’s role as a key workforce development partner in Southern Nevada. Satisfaction rates of 98–99% indicate that these events are not only well-attended, but are delivering measurable value to the students who participate.
Results like these support CSN’s broader mission: to provide students with equitable access to the resources, relationships, and opportunities they need to succeed from the classroom to the career.
