Coyote Pride Shines for Lunar New Year

March 2 2026

CSN spent the past month celebrating Lunar New Year with packed events and vibrant performances across our campuses and in our community.

Festivities kicked off with cultural celebrations featuring traditional dancers, live music and food that brought students, faculty and staff together in honor of our Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Campuses were filled with color and energy as Coyotes gathered to celebrate the culture.

The celebration continued beyond campus as CSN staff, faculty and students, including the CSN Cheer Team and Cody the Coyote, took to downtown Las Vegas for the annual Lunar New Year Parade. Walking alongside community partners in the Year of the Horse, CSN proudly represented our commitment to inclusion, education and opportunity for all.

From kickoff performances to parade day excitement, it was a few weeks of nonstop enthusiasm and Lunar New Year Coyote pride.

Thank you to everyone who participated, performed and helped make this celebration meaningful for our campus community and Southern Nevada.
