Dr. Ruth Palileo Earns Prestigious Grant Credential

When it comes to bringing resources to CSN, Dr. Ruth Palileo doesn’t just write grants. She wins them. Now she has the credentials to prove it. Ruth has officially earned the Grant Professional Certified credential, a national recognition for grant experts who know their way around funding opportunities big and small.

Joining a group of only 675 active GPCs in the United States, and just 20 in the entire state of Nevada. She is currently the only GPC in the Nevada System of Higher Education, a milestone worth celebrating for both her and the institution.

The certification process is no small lift. To even sit for the exam, candidates must have at least three years of grants experience and a minimum of five successful grants awarded in the past seven years.

She credits her colleagues for the encouragement to go for it, writing that this achievement is “for you” to Frank Woodbeck, who cheered her on along the way. Her work in Sponsored Projects helps support programs and students across the college, and this new certification shows just how committed she is to expanding CSN’s opportunities.
