CSN is proud to announce that Dr. Richard Kravchak, Dean of the School of Arts and Letters and an internationally celebrated oboist, will be featured in the Las Vegas Sinfonietta’s upcoming concert, Mostly Mozart. The event takes place at 3 p.m. Sunday, January 26, at the Clark County Library Theater.
Dr. Richard Kravchak
Kravchak will perform Mozart’s Oboe Concerto in C Major, K. 314 under the direction of Maestro Taras Krysa. A work known for its charm and technical demands, the concerto is a testament to both the composer’s genius and the performer’s mastery. Kravchak brings decades of experience, having performed as a soloist and collaborator across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
“Playing Mozart is always a joy, but this performance is especially meaningful as it allows me to partner with the Las Vegas Sinfonietta to highlight the virtuosity that makes this piece so timeless,” he said. CSN takes immense pride in its faculty, whose expertise and dedication extend beyond the classroom to stages and arenas worldwide. Kravchak’s performance underscores the college’s status as a top-tier institution fostering both academic excellence and artistic achievement.
In addition to the Oboe Concerto, the program features two of Mozart’s most celebrated works: Masonic Funeral Music, K. 477 and Symphony No. 39 in E-flat Major, K. 543. These selections promise an afternoon of elegance, brilliance, and inspiration.
