Celebración Latina is now in its second year after a tremendously successful 2023 premiere. In this unique partnership, Celebración Latina – A Mariachi Fiesta, finds Opera Las Vegas collaborating with the CSN’s Award-winning Mariachi Plata for a festive presentation of traditional music and Zarzuela (Spanish operetta), mingled with unique recent lyric theatre compositions, and operatic tributes to beloved stars like Placido Domingo, Montserrat Caballe, and Jose Carreras.
In additional to familiar popular hits, this Fiesta will explore recent Mariachi “operas” like Cruzar la Cara de la Luna by the legendary José “Pepe” Martínez, and selections from Zorro by Hector Armienta, among others.
Celebración Latina promises to be an enchanting program of delights and discoveries, a Hispanic musical panorama that will entertain, enrich, and inform.
