Frank Woodbeck to Receive Honorary CSN Degree
CSN will award an honorary associate degree to Frank R. Woodbeck at its 2026 commencement ceremony, recognizing a career rooted in service, leadership and a deep commitment to students.
Woodbeck retired from CSN in 2025 after more than four decades in public service, including roles with the college, the Nevada System of Higher Education and the state’s workforce and economic development agencies. At CSN, he served as executive director of government affairs and special projects, helping lead grant efforts, strengthen partnerships and support initiatives that expand opportunity for students. He continues to serve the college as a consultant and advisor.
Beyond CSN, Woodbeck played a key role in advancing workforce development efforts across Nevada and building connections between education, industry and community partners. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 30 years in the communications industry in senior leadership roles.
A decorated U.S. Air Force veteran, Woodbeck has also remained active in the community, serving on several nonprofit boards focused on workforce readiness and economic development.
He will be recognized during CSN’s 2026 commencement ceremony, where college leadership will present the honorary degree.
