Honoring Our CSN Veterans

This Veterans Day, we’re taking a moment to recognize some of the incredible members of our CSN family who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Their dedication to service doesn’t stop at the uniform, it shows up every day in how they teach, lead, and support our students.

“CSN honors our Veterans and their service to our country,” said Dr. Stacy Klippenstein, CSN’s president. “The freedoms we celebrate come from their sacrifice and courage. I also honor Veterans we have lost, notably my father. He served in the Navy and hold his service next to my heart. Thank you, Veterans!”

We’re proud to honor Daniel Alvarado, Colin Izumo, Kristel Corkish, Angela Brown, Daniel Quintana II, Jonathan Wright, Gersom Abiva, Carey Sedlacek, Keysha Newell, Charlene Reeves, and Gavin Kroulik Whipple, along with all the veterans who call CSN home.

Thank you for your courage, your commitment, and your continued service to our community. We appreciate you today and every day.

VETS Center Launches Snack Drive to Support Student Veterans

The ongoing government shutdown has created uncertainty for many student veterans and their families, delaying benefits and access to essential services.

To help ease that strain, the CSN VETS Center is hosting a snack drive to stock its shelves with quick, easy-to-access nonperishable items. The goal is to provide immediate, tangible support to those who have served while they navigate financial stress during this period.

Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to donate sealed, shelf-stable, and non-refrigerated snacks from the approved list to ensure safety and easy distribution. Donations can be dropped off at the CSN VETS Center during regular hours.
