Klip Gets Behind the Mic
President Dr. Stacy Klippenstein is adding something new to his schedule: podcast host.
Coyote Conversations, CSN’s new video podcast hosted by Klippenstein, is officially launching with conversations focused on the people, ideas and opportunities shaping CSN and Southern Nevada.
And for his first guest, Klippenstein is starting with a big-picture conversation about where the region is headed.
Danielle Casey, president and CEO of the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, joins Klippenstein for the debut episode to talk about Southern Nevada’s changing economy, workforce needs and the role CSN can play in preparing students for what comes next.
The conversation goes beyond the usual talking points.
Casey and Klippenstein dig into the industries creating new opportunities across the region, including gaming, cybersecurity, logistics and manufacturing, along with what employers are looking for as Southern Nevada continues to grow and diversify.
At the center of the conversation is a question that matters to CSN students: Where do they fit into all of this?
That is exactly the kind of conversation Klippenstein hopes to bring to the podcast.
Coyote Conversations is designed to give viewers a chance to hear directly from CSN leaders, faculty, students and community partners in a more relaxed setting, with discussions about what is happening at the college and across the region. CSN describes the show as focusing on “stories shaping CSN and Southern Nevada.”
And this is only the beginning.
Future episodes will bring more voices to the table and explore everything from workforce and education to athletics, leadership and the student experience. One upcoming conversation, for example, will feature CSN Director of Athletics and Recreation Jason Herbers and Head Baseball Coach Nick Aiello for a discussion about building student-athletes at CSN.
