Lights, Camera, CSN! Student Films Take Center Stage Friday

November 2 2026

Grab some popcorn and get ready for a night at the movies, CSN style!

CSN’s 15th Annual Short Film Showcase returns Friday, Nov. 6, bringing some of the best work from our student filmmakers to the big screen. And the best part? It’s completely free and open to everyone!

This isn’t just another movie night. It’s the biggest night of the year for CSN’s Videography and Film Program, giving students a chance to see their hard work, creativity and storytelling come to life in front of a live audience.

Each year, faculty select standout projects from student production classes to create a 90-minute showcase celebrating the talent behind the camera.

And this year, the audience gets a say! For the first time, attendees will help select the Audience Award winner, giving moviegoers a chance to vote for their favorite film.

Why should you attend? Because for these aspiring filmmakers, having an audience matters. Every seat filled is a show of support for students putting their skills, imagination and passion into something they’ve worked hard to create.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • When: Friday, Nov. 6
  • Doors open: 6 p.m. | Films begin at 6:30 p.m.
  • Where: North Las Vegas campus, Building A, 1772 Theater
  • Admission: FREE and open to the public!

Whether you’re a film enthusiast, a proud supporter of our students or simply looking for a fun Friday night, come enjoy the show and help crown this year’s audience favorite.
