Nursing Director Honored Statewide

Big news from this past weekend our very own, Dr. Elizabeth Solomon, our nursing department director, took home the People’s Choice Award for Deans and Directors at a Nevada Nursing Foundation event. If you know Dr. Solomon, this won’t surprise you one bit.

Dr. James McCoy and Dr. Sherri Glasper were there to see it happen, and they can share more about the moment she accepted the award and what went into the nomination. What’s already clear is that this recognition reflects the work she pours into her students, her faculty, and the future of nursing in Nevada.

Around campus, Dr. Solomon is known for her calm leadership and her knack for supporting people through the highs and lows of nursing education. Seeing her celebrated on a statewide stage felt like a proud moment for everyone who works with her.
