Recovery-Friendly Career Fair Opens Doors
A good career fair can introduce you to a new employer. A great one might help you see a whole new path forward.
That was the idea behind CSN’s Recovery-Friendly Career Fair, where about 50 students showed up to meet employers, make connections and explore what could be next.
The event brought recovery-friendly employers and community partners directly to students, giving them a chance to have real conversations about jobs, career paths and training opportunities. Students could ask questions, make professional connections and learn about resources designed to support long-term success.
And this wasn’t just about collecting business cards or grabbing another brochure for the backpack.
The bigger message was about second chances and recognizing that a career path doesn’t always follow a straight line. Sometimes the next opportunity comes from simply meeting the right person, learning about a program you didn’t know existed or deciding you’re ready to try something new.
For the roughly 50 students who attended, the fair offered plenty of opportunities to do exactly that, one conversation at a time.
