‘Tis the Season: Holiday Party and Angel Giving

The holidays are right around the corner, and at CSN, that means two things: celebrating together and giving back.

First up, mark your calendar for the CSN Holiday Party on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the NLV June Whitley Lounge. It’s our annual chance to trade in our workday for dinner, dancing, and maybe a few questionable karaoke moments. Nothing says holiday spirit quite like seeing Dr. Ngo in an ugly sweater — and yes, it’s as amazing as it sounds.

Expect raffles, prizes, and plenty of good food as we toast to another year of hard work and big wins for our students. Bring your holiday cheer and your best dance moves.

But before you cue up “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” consider being a real-life angel this season through the CSN Holiday Angel Program, led by Dr. Tara Busch. For nearly two decades, this program has connected CSN faculty and staff “Angels” with the children of students in need, fulfilling holiday wish lists that range from school clothes to toys that make a child’s face light up.

Over the years, the program has brought gifts to more than 2,300 children — and this year, there are more families than ever hoping for a little help. You can sign up to be an Angel at otspro.csn.edu/HolidayAngel by Nov. 14. Gifts are due Dec. 4, just in time to make some magic happen.

So go ahead — RSVP for the Holiday Party, sign up to be an Angel, and let’s make this holiday season one to remember. Ugly sweaters optional, good vibes required.
