Dear Regents, As we begin a new academic year at the College of Southern Nevada, I wanted to take a moment to share some of the good news and momentum we’ve seen across CSN over the past few months. It has been a busy summer. Our students continued reaching important milestones, our faculty and staff found new ways to support student success, and our partnerships across Southern Nevada continued to grow. Each of the stories below is a reminder of just how connected CSN is to the community we serve. That is something I continue to appreciate more and more about this college. Our work reaches well beyond our campuses. You can see it in students preparing to transfer to a university, graduates entering the workforce, high school students getting an early start on college, and employers and community partners working alongside us to meet the needs of Southern Nevada. This summer also gave us an opportunity to look ahead. As we welcomed faculty and staff back for Fall Convocation and prepared for the first day of classes, there was a real sense of excitement about what is ahead for our students and for CSN. I also want to thank you for your continued support. The work highlighted below is possible because of the people who believe in our students and invest in their success. Your leadership and support of CSN and public higher education in Nevada are an important part of that. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to enjoy some of our latest stories from across the college. They offer just a snapshot of the people, partnerships and accomplishments that made this summer a memorable one at CSN. Thank you, as always, for your support of CSN, our students and the communities we serve. – Stacy | ||||||||||||||||||
